1 teaspoon Baking powder

50g Pine nuts, pistachios or walnut kernels

Sfouf (or Sfoof) is a very easy Turmeric cake to make with sugar and flour.

Preparation of the Lebanese Sfouf

Preheat your oven to 200°C.
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a large spoon. Pour the mixture into a rectangular or square baking dish, sprinkle it with pine nuts (or pistachios or walnut kernels, as you prefer). Cover the dish with parchment paper.

Cooking Sfouf

Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes, until the surface begins to take on a little color. Let cool well and cut your Sfouf into small squares.
