1 Done | Soak the chickpeas the day beforeThe day before preparing your Lebanese Hummus, make sure to soak your chickpeas for about 10 hours in water. |
2 Done | Cooking chickpeasOnce your chickpeas are well soaked in water, change the water and put your chickpeas to cook on low heat. They are ready when they are relatively soft. |
3 Done | Preparation of Lebanese HummusSet aside a small handful of cooked chickpeas. In a blender, mix the cooked chickpeas, the Tahini and the lemon juice until you obtain a fine purée. Add a little salt and blend for a few more seconds. |
4 Done | Your homemade hummus is ready!Keep your hummus well chilled so that it becomes firmer. You can also add a few whole chickpeas or pine nuts on top for extra crunch. Serve your hummus with a generous drizzle of olive oil and a nice pita bread for example! Enjoy your meal :) |
