Hamsi Tava is a traditional Turkish dish. It is simply delicious fried anchovies served with lemon wedges, fresh salad and onion rings.
Steps
1 Done | Preparation of the anchoviesIf you haven't already done so, start by gutting your anchovies. Wash and dry them thoroughly. Finally, salt them and roll them in a plate of flour. Turn them in the flour so that both sides are well covered with flour. |
2 Done | Cooking of fried anchoviesHeat 3 large tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan (replace as needed). Fry your anchovies covered with flour on each side for a few minutes. They are cooked when they are stiff and golden. |
3 Done | Your homemade Hamsi Tava is ready!Pour your fried anchovies onto paper towels to remove excess fat. Serve immediately, as fried anchovies soften quickly. Enjoy! |
