Shirazi salad takes its name from its hometown : Shiraz in southwestern Iran. This Iranian salad is a staple of the local gastronomy. It is composed of cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and peppers or peppers cut into small cubes.

The seasoning is made with lime juice, dried mint, olive oil, sumac, salt and pepper.

It is an extremely tasty and refreshing salad just like the Fattoush salad. To test as soon as possible for hot days or if you are just paying attention to your figure!

Preparation of the Shirazi salad

Wash the cucumber, tomatoes, peppers (or green pepper) and peel the red onion.
Empty the seeds of the cucumber by cutting it in half lengthwise.

Mince everything in small cubes and add it in a salad bowl.

Preparation of the seasonning

Salt, pepper, sprinkle with dried mint, lemon juice and olive oil.
Mix everything then sprinkle with sumac.

Tasting

Reserve in the fridge for about 30 minutes so that the salad is fresh.
You can garnish it with basil, parsley or chopped coriander according to your tastes.
