Kotlet, delicious meat and potato croquettes!

Kotlet, these spicy croquettes made from beef and potatoes, is a typical recipe for festive meals in Iran. It is one of the easiest and fastest recipes to make, it is very popular especially at New Year’s time.

The kotlets also have the particularity of being even better the next day with a salad, tomatoes or in a sandwich. You can use beef, veal, lamb or chicken as well to make delicious kotlet!

Spread the breadcrumbs on a plate.

In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, without the oil, while kneading the preparation by hand. The eggs must be perfectly incorporated and the spices well distributed in the mixture.

Take some of your meat, potato and spice mixture and roll it in the palms of your hands, then flatten it. Turn it over in the breadcrumbs making sure that both sides are well covered. Do the rest of your Kotlets the same way.

Pour a little oil in a non-stick pan over high heat and fry your kotlet 6 to 8 minutes per side until nicely golden.
Gently take them out of the pan and put them to drain on a plate lined with absorbent paper.
